Mobile doctors examined more than one and a half thousand people in the Arctic regions of Yakutia

Since the beginning of September, mobile doctors have been working in Bulunsky, Verkhoyansk, Momsky and Allaikhovsky districts. The press service of the Ministry of Health of Yakutia said today that during this period, doctors examined more than 1.5 thousand local residents.

In Bulunski district, the medical team, which included 13 doctors with different qualifications, managed to examine 320 people, including 30 children, from September 7. Plans include travel to Tiksi, Taymylyr, Siktyakh, Kyusyur, Namy and Naibu. The business trip will continue until September 20.

Currently, a multidisciplinary children’s team consisting of 14 specialists works in Verkhoyansk. From September 6 until now, doctors have examined 723 children. Until September 20, they will visit 12 settlements – Betenkas, Verkhoyansk, Boronuk, Stolbakh, Ese-Khaya, Borulakh, Batagay, Yunkur, Bala, Suordakh, Dulgalakh and Machakhaya.

A group of 13 doctors started working in Momski district on September 6. To date, doctors have examined 428 people. Until September 23, doctors will work in six villages and 11 nomadic camps. They will go to Sugun, Dyankychan, Anton, Kobul, Magir, Lonkute, Sierechen, Dylygydy, Ostuolbalakh, Bytykyndya, Kundugundya.

Currently, a children’s brigade consisting of 13 doctors works in Allaikhovski district. Since September 13, mobile doctors have examined 48 children. Until September 25, doctors will examine children in five villages and towns – Chokurdakh, Russky Ustye, Chkalov, Nichalakha and Olenegorsk.

It should be noted that the Center of Mobile Brigades in Yakutia has been operating for the second year. The initiator of the project is the head of the region Aysen Nikolayev.

Over the past year, mobile groups have made 49 trips covering all 89 settlements of the Yakut Arctic. More than 33 thousand residents of 13 districts were examined. Among them are 11,800 children and more than 14,000 representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North.
