Oblo, open the Carnival modern art museum

VIAREGGIO – I cut the ribbon before the start of Notte dei Bozzetti. The president of the region Giani also participated in the opening of the new museum area in Cittadella.

It’s called Oblo, and from today it brings together the Carnevale Foundation’s contemporary art collection in a new space called CarnevalArt. A few hours before the Night of Sketches, the ribbon cutting was welcomed by the President of the Region, Eugenio Giani, and the Honorary President of the Summer Festival, journalist Alan Friedman. Antonio Possenti, Beppe Domenici, Nilo Lenci, but also Ivan Theimer, Sergio Baroni, Giovanni Lazzarini aka Menghino. The works of painting and sculpture, distinguished by their language, style, research, interpretation, and authors, have been created as a result of donations and sales since the 20th century and continue to grow.

Beautifying the buildings of the former guest house in the middle of the castle, the exhibition thus completes the offer of Carnival as a cultural institution operating all year round.
