Meanwhile, a consultative meeting was held in Mumbai on July 31 with team owners to discuss the mega auction, the number of players to be retained and increasing the bid amount.
It was also reported that Kolkata team owner Shahrukh Khan and Punjab team owner Nes Wadia had an argument over the retention clause in this meeting.In such a case, it is reported that the IPL management is planning to increase the retained player limit from 4 to 6. There are also plans to bring back the Right-to-Match (RTM) system.
If these reports become official, Dhoni will play in one more IPL series.
